What to Expect?

When you first visit Finchley Hearing, we take the time to understand your unique needs and concerns. Prior to your first appointment, you will receive an intake form that we strongly recommend completing and returning to us. This form provides essential information about your medical history and any concerns regarding your ears and hearing.

Initial Consultation and Hearing Assessment

Your first appointment typically consists of an initial consultation along with a complete hearing assessment. We encourage you to bring someone you communicate with regularly, such as a close friend or family member. Their insights can help us gain a more comprehensive understanding of the challenges you may face.

Following your hearing assessment, we will review and explain the results in detail. Based on your specific concerns expressed during the consultation, we will provide tailored recommendations for your next steps. Whatever you choose regarding our recommendations, we will be here to support you and ensure you receive the best care possible.

Hearing Aid Fitting

If hearing aids are recommended and you decide to proceed, we will schedule a hearing aid fitting appointment. During this session, we will conduct tests and measurements to accurately prescribe the hearing aids for you and ensure they are functioning optimally. We will also guide you through everything you need to know about your hearing aids, making sure you feel comfortable and confident with your new devices.

Follow-Up and Ongoing Care

One week after your fitting, we will follow up with a phone call to ensure everything is going smoothly. We will also set up a follow-up appointment to address any questions you may have and evaluate whether your hearing and communication needs are being met.

Once we are satisfied that everything is functioning as it should, we recommend returning for routine check-ups every six months. During these appointments, we will service your hearing aids and recheck your hearing on an annual basis, adjusting your hearing aid prescription as needed. These appointments are available to you at no additional charge for a full five years after receiving your hearing aids, as part of our Aftercare & Support Plan.

If you ever have questions or concerns between your routine appointments, you are always welcome get in touch. We are committed to ensuring that your hearing health remains a priority.
